How to Install and Link the Notion Browser Extension to Your Account

Step 1: Download the Notion Browser Extension

  1. Open Google Chrome on your computer.
  2. Go to the Notion Web Clipper download page: https://www.notion.com/web-clipper.
  3. Click the "Get Notion Web Clipper" button.
  4. You will be redirected to the Chrome Web Store.
  5. Click "Add to Chrome" and then select "Add Extension" when prompted.
  6. The extension will be installed, and you’ll see the Notion Web Clipper icon appear in your browser’s extensions bar (top-right corner).

Now, you’re ready to link the extension to your Notion account! 🚀


On iOS & Android (Mobile Web Clipper)

Notion’s mobile app comes with a built-in Web Clipper, allowing you to save job listings and other content in just a few taps.

  1. Install the Notion app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
  2. Open a job listing or any webpage in your mobile browser.
  3. Tap the Share button (on iOS: the square with an arrow, on Android: the three-dot menu).
  4. Select "Save to Notion" from the list of share options.
  5. Choose the Job Tracker database as the destination.
  6. Tag the saved job to make it easy to find later.

Now, whenever you come across an interesting job listing, you can save it directly to Notion in just two taps! 📲


Step 2: Link the Notion Extension to Your Notion Account

  1. After installation, you will see the Notion Web Clipper icon (a small Notion logo) in the Chrome extensions bar (top-right of your browser).
  2. Click on the Notion Web Clipper icon.
  3. You will be prompted to Sign in to Notion—enter your Notion login credentials (Google, Apple, or email/password).
  4. Once signed in, the extension will be linked to your Notion workspace.
  5. Now, whenever you visit a webpage, you can click the Notion Web Clipper to save content directly into your Notion database.

How to Use the Notion Web Clipper to Add Job Listings to Your Job Tracker

Once you have installed and linked the Notion Web Clipper, you can now use it to save job listings from any website directly into your Job Tracker.

Step 1: Find a Job Listing

Step 2: Open the Notion Web Clipper

  1. Click on the Notion Web Clipper icon in the Chrome toolbar (top-right corner).
  2. A small Notion pop-up will appear, allowing you to save the job listing.

Step 3: Select the Correct Folder (Job Tracker)

  1. Click the dropdown menu where it says "Add to..."
  2. Select your Job Tracker database from the list of Notion pages.
  3. You can edit the title, add notes, or categorize it before saving.

Step 4: If the Notion Web Clipper Doesn’t Work

If the Web Clipper doesn’t work or the job listing doesn’t save correctly:

  1. Manually copy the job description from the website.
  2. Open your Notion Job Tracker.
  3. Click on "New" to create a new job entry.
  4. Paste the job title and job description in the appropriate fields.
  5. Manually enter any other details (company name, application date, salary, etc.).

Step 5: Deleting Dummy Data from Your Notion Job Tracker

Your Job Tracker contains example data for demonstration purposes. Follow these steps to clear them:

  1. Open your Notion Job Tracker page.
  2. Locate the checkbox column (if available).
  3. Select all rows by checking the checkboxes next to each entry.
  4. Press the Delete or Backspace key to remove them.
  5. Alternatively, click on each row individually, then click on the three-dot menu (•••) and select Delete.

Now your Job Tracker is clean and ready for real job applications! 🚀
